VIP (RIP) accommodation
At RIP (Rest In Peace!) you can either pitch your tent (and park your car), or order glamping accommodation (yurts, bell tents etc) and get access to ‘superior’ amenities, and 24 hour assistance from an event management station. The RIP campsite at Park Farm also boasts a convenience shop (Little Shop of Horrors), refreshments area (Hell’s Kitchen), Eco Day Spa, Dressing room and Lockers.
Download has banned flags on sticks in the main arena.
Food and drink
You can bring your own alcohol with you if you are camping, though it will not be permitted in the music arena. Remember, no glass bottles are allowed anywhere on site, but cans of drink are fine in the campsite only. You will only be permitted to take in soft drinks in to the arena and these must be in plastic bottles no bigger than 500ml. Food can be taken in to the arena, though not in a glass container.
Expect the campsite to open at noon on Wednesday 12th June and to close at noon on Monday 17th June.
Markets include a variety of food from around the world, as well as clothes, jewellery, massages, piercing & tattoos, organic foods, souvenirs, merchandise, chairs, and other stuff.
We do not recommend you bring small children under 5 with you to Download. Children under 16 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Shuttle Buses will run from Derby and East Midlands Parkway stations regularly with a shuttle bus running from the airport at well.Event Website
